1. Scope and contact
This notice covers the Jobsworth website and business service. Jobsworth is provided by SEGMENT8 LTD (company number 16351175, registered office 3rd Floor, 86-90 Paul Street, London, England, EC2A 4NE), which is the controller for the information described here except where a business using Jobsworth decides how its own records are used.
Jobsworth handles account administration, billing and its own business communications. Businesses using Jobsworth determine how their customer and staff records are used. Jobsworth processes those records on the business's instructions under the applicable data-processing agreement.
Contact us about your personal information at support@getjobsworth.com.
2. Website information
The website has no forms. If you email us, we use your email address and message to reply and to keep a record of our correspondence.
Accessing the website involves requests to its hosting platform. Those requests include network information such as your IP address.
The website loads fonts from Google Fonts. This creates external requests that expose network information to the receiving service. See Cookies and similar technologies for more information.
3. Service information
The information used depends on the functions your business uses and the records it enters.
- Account and business details, including names, work contact details, membership, role, business identity and logo.
- Customer and work records, including contact and address details, enquiries, notes, tasks, quotes, appointments, jobs and reminders.
- Commercial records, including costs, invoices, billing details, receipt dates, methods, references and payment status.
- Service records, including support correspondence, security and access logs, and notification delivery records.
Information may come from you, a member of your business, a customer using a configured enquiry form or inbound email, or a configured service provider. Payment records are distinct from full payment-card details.
4. How information is used
Personal information supports account administration, delivery of the agreed service, billing, customer support, security and investigation of faults.
The lawful basis depends on the purpose and relationship. Contract applies where processing is necessary to perform an agreement with the individual. Legitimate interests can apply to business-user administration and service security, subject to the individual's rights. Legal obligation applies where a specific obligation requires processing. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw that consent.
For customer and staff records processed on a business's instructions, that business is responsible for its purposes and lawful bases.
6. Keeping and protecting information
Retention depends on the purpose of the record, the service agreement and any applicable legal requirements. Account records, customer content, financial records, support correspondence, logs and backups have different purposes and retention needs.
Business membership and roles control access to workspace records. You are responsible for managing your team's access and protecting login credentials.
7. Your rights and complaints
Depending on the processing and applicable conditions, you may have rights to access, correct or erase personal information, restrict processing, object, or receive certain data in a portable form. Where consent is the basis, you can withdraw it without changing the lawfulness of earlier processing.
For information entered by a business using Jobsworth, contact that business about your personal information.
You can also raise a data-protection concern with the Information Commissioner's Office.
